Doctor Neil Sullivan was many things:

And my own personal distraction.

 

So I did what I did best.

I avoided him at all costs.

 

Until his desperation for a nanny and a twist of fate turned into me moving in with him.

Living under the same roof as Neil meant middle-of-the-night brownie run-ins, bedtime stories with his two sweet little girls, and stolen glances that lingered a little too long.

 

The more time I spent under Neil’s roof, the more “temporary” began to feel like forever, making me yearn for the life I’d always wanted.

 

But I had plans to build a family on my own, and I wouldn't put my dreams on hold for a man who might never be ready to love again. If he couldn't find the courage to risk his heart, I'd have to walk away.
